Hosting a succesful event.

Ever attended an event and realized that you can actually do a better job? Be it a Celebration, Product  launch, Fashion show or a Corporate event. I know that  most of us have had that kind of experience of wanting to re-plan the entire event. Event planning is a process a ceremony or a festival where there would be a lot of people gathering together. It is really evident that most people think that it is stress and takes a lot to do successfully. But this is an industry that needs strategy and appropriate implementation. It is fast-paced, creative, innovative and offers the real deal of making a name for a brand or simply a way to earn more money through it.

In order for one to host a successful event they should make their  brand different and know how to produce outstanding results at all times. First impression do count a lot in this industry. There is a lot of competition out there so getting a perfect and convenient venue should also be top on the list. No clients would appreciate having an event at a dirty and unaccommodating venue. This would reduce the chances of having more or sustaining     clients. Every event should at all times have a theme  that would make  the clients know what to expect when they arrive at the venue. For example sama always stick to the theme. Listening to the clients should be taken consideration to avoid making mistakes that would not be appreciated by the clients.

Events are a place where a lot of people network. So as a planner one should at all times make sure that clients leave that event in a good mood so that they would consider using their brand for future events. The brand should at all times be on social networks  and get clients to evaluate the strategies they are using. The strategies should at all times change and new ones should be made so that expected results would be attained.  
Here are some of the tips to consider :
  • Get sponsors on time.
  • Incorporate Online and Offline experiences.
  • Plan ahead
  • Plan the expected return on the event.

  5. How I wish you were in the practice already,I was on some event the week before last it was a disaster trust me.The accomodation was dirty,the food was bad and I asked maself so many questions as to to hired this lady??I like your blog,im looking foward to so many tips

  6. sometimes it happens that the venues are small, food is a total disaster, there is limited parking and there are no air no conditioners those are the most important aspects when planning a successful event

  8. I for one would like to go to an event come back from it and still talk about the event a couple of months since it's passing.There is nothing more annoying than going to a boring event that promised to deliver but when you get there the standard is nowherenear the promise

    1. Such situations occur that is the reason I personally decided to inform planners that there are steps to consider, so that clients do ot leave the event dissapointed.

I have to say that some events are so well planned that you would feel like you are in the wrong place even when you are in the guest list, while some make you wish you had the ability to fast forward time. But all in all, I believe that each and every event can teach us a thing or two on what to do or avoid doing when planning an event.
